Ingredients

  • 1 tsp vitamin E oil
  • 1 TBSP apricot oil
  • ½ TBSP jojoba oil
  • ½ tsp marula seed oil
  • 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 2-3 drops of tea tree essential oil

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients; stir until combined and transfer to a glass dropper bottle or other oil-friendly container.
  1. Using your fingers or a dropper (preferred method), dispense about ½ of the total oil onto various parts of your scalp. Use the other half to smooth through the rest of your hair from root to tip. Using your fingers, massage oil gently but deeply for 1-2 mins.
  1. Put hair up and allow the oil to soak in for a minimum of 45 mins, up to overnight (use a shower cap). Rinse out by washing your hair with shampoo and warm water.

***Note: This recipe creates enough product for a full head of long, thick hair. If you have short or thin hair, you can cut the recipe in half or save the rest in a glass bottle or jar.

Enjoy!

Highlights

Check out the ingredient benefits for your skin!

  • Vitamin E Oil – nourishes and moisturizes your skin. Vitamin E oil is also known to reduce hyperpigmentation and wrinkles. Vitamin E is anti-inflammatory and several studies have supported its prevention of inflammatory damage after UV exposure. Topical vitamin E can reduce UV-induced skin thickness, skin swelling, and edema.
  • Apricot Oil – is easily absorbed because it mirrors the skin’s natural oil sebum. It helps to improve skin tone, maintain softness and radiance of the skin. It also nourishes the skin and lowers the appearance of face wrinkles, fine lines, and blemishes.
  • Jojoba Oil – has many healing properties that make it effective in treating skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Enjoy its benefits by using it as a moisturizer, cleanser, or spot treatment.
  • Marula Oil – high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and amino acids. Marula oil is widely used as an ingredient in skincare products and appears to be beneficial for acne-prone, dry, oily, and aging skin. Marula Oil is also effective at keeping hair soft, supple, and moisturized.
  • Lavender Essential Oil – lavender is the top essential oil when it comes to healing burns, skin conditions, and cuts. With anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antifungal, and detoxifying benefits, it can help reduce redness, calm, and soothe the skin and quickly heal minor scrapes, cuts, and rashes.
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil – The anti-inflammatory effect of tea tree oil helps to relieve and soothe irritated and painful skin. Tea tree essential oil can aid in treating acne because of its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Tea tree essential oil can also calm swelling, redness, and inflammation. It may help to prevent and reduce acne scars, giving you smooth, clear skin.
