Anti-Aging Whipped Body Moisturizer

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup unrefined coconut oil
  • ½ cup shea butter
  • 1 ½ tablespoons purified, decolorized, organic aloe vera juice
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
  • 2 teaspoon glycerin
  • 4-5 pumps AnnieMak Reverse Anti-Aging Serum
  • 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil

Directions

  1. In a medium glass mixing bowl create a double boiler over a small/medium saucepan filled halfway with water on medium/med-high heat. Melt coconut oil and shea butter together. Once completely melted (about 10 mins), remove from heat.
  1. Mix in aloe vera juice, olive oil, almond oil, AnnieMak Reverse Anti-Aging Serum, and glycerin. Allow the mixture to sit and cool for 5 mins, then mix in essential oils.
  1. Cool in the refrigerator for 30 mins; mix. Cool for another 30 mins and mix again. Cool once more until mostly firm to the touch. This can take up to 3 hours.
  1. Using a hand mixer at a medium-low speed, whip the semi-solid into a creamy, whipped consistency. Transfer to a glass jar for storage.
  1. Step into your shower, grab a small handful of the whipped moisturizer and generously apply it to your skin. Rinse off with warm/hot water. It may feel odd the first time, but when you dry off and feel the difference – you’ll never want to be without it!

Enjoy!

XOXO

Highlights

Check out the ingredient benefits for your skin!

  • Coconut Oil – bolsters your skin’s protective barrier, locking moisture inside and keeping skin supple and hydrated. Reduces inflammation. Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for irritated, chafed skin. Bonus, it also increases collagen production.
  • Shea Butter – With high concentrations of vitamins and fatty acids, shea butter is an ideal ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Utilizing shea butter on your body and face can condition, tone, and soothe your skin.
  • Aloe Juice – loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, aloe juice, is an ultra-healer for our skin. With its powerful vitamin and nutrient profile, aloe juice heals skin issues such as dry skin, acne, skin inflammation, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
  • Olive Oil – is full of healthy vitamins, fats, and antioxidants, like squalene and vitamin e, that contribute to healthier-looking skin. It hydrates skin by locking in moisture, and its antioxidants can help to improve signs of aging. Olive oil has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can aid in wound healing.
  • Almond Oil – helps reverse damage from the sun, while reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Almond oil also improves skin’s overall appearance through hydration, leaving you with a luminous glow. As an added bonus, almond oil can even out your skin tone and texture and help to reduce and prevent wrinkles.
  • Glycerin – is fantastic for your skin because it acts as a humectant, which is a substance that allows the skin to retain moisture. Glycerin relieves dryness, increases skin hydration, and refreshes the skin’s surface. Glycerin is an emollient, which softens the skin.
  • Lavender Essential Oil – helps to calm inflammation in the skin and stress throughout your body. It soothes and diminishes blemishes and red bumps, while also detoxifying the skin. Lavender can help reduce the time needed to heal cuts, scrapes, or damage to the skin
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil – The anti-inflammatory effect of tea tree oil helps to relieve and soothe irritated and painful skin. Tea tree essential oil can aid in treating acne because of its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Tea tree essential oil can also calm swelling, redness, and inflammation. It may help to prevent and reduce acne scars, giving you smooth, clear skin.
