Skin Soothing Oatmeal Bath Soak

Ingredients

  • 1 c. organic rolled oats
  • ΒΌ c. Epsom salt
  • 1 TBSP baking soda

Ingredient Fact: Epsom salt is rich in magnesium. Magnesium salt baths have been used for centuries, and have been shown to help moisturize and reduce inflammation in various dry skin conditions.24

Directions

To Make:
  1. Using the small bowl attachment of a food processor, blend oats for a full two minutes, stopping every 30 seconds to un-clump/scrape the sides with a clean spatula. Oats should turn into a powder-like substance.
  2. Add Epsom salt and baking soda, then blend for another full minute.
  3. Note: If your processor is unable to blend/pulverize the oats into a fine powder, you may end up with a bit of grainy residue. This is perfectly fine, but you may want to strain it out of the tub rather than have it go down the drain. Or use a sachet to distribute the oat soak.
To Use:

Draw a warm bath and dissolve the oat mixture into it. Soak for 15-20 minutes.

Storage:

Store in an airtight container
