Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP beeswax pellets
  • 3 TBSP unrefined coconut oil
  • 1 TBSP shea butter
  • 2 tsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp pure vitamin E oil
  • 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
  • 10 drops of frankincense essential oil
  • 15 drops of lavender essential oil

Ingredient Fact: Because beeswax can form a protective barrier on the skin, and also acts as a humectant (attracting water to the skin) it's common ingredient in many natural lip balms.32 It's also a key ingredient we use in AnnieMak's Renew Eye Cream, helping lock moisture in without clogging your pores.

Directions

To Make:
  1. In a medium glass mixing bowl carefully sitting over a small/medium saucepan filled halfway with water (double boiler method). Over medium/med-high heat, melt beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, honey, and vitamin E oil. Stir often, ensuring that every pellet has melted; this can take up to 15 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Whisk mixture while adding in essential oils.
  3. Immediately pour into a glass jar or container for storage as the outer layers of the salve will begin to harden. To speed up the firming process, place salve in the fridge. Otherwise, leaving it in an area that is 68 degrees or below and dark will firm it up over the course of a few hours. Product can be used without hardening if needed.
To Use:

Apply a small amount of slave onto clean wound, 2-3 times per day.

For best results, gently cleanse the wound with witch hazel first.

Storage:

Can be kept at room temperature but to prolong shelf life and keep its firmest consistency, store in the refrigerator.
